Indonesia proudly hosts the 26th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions — the triennial assembly of INTOSAI's global membership.
The International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) is the triennial gathering of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), bringing together heads of Supreme Audit Institutions from around the world. The XXVI INCOSAI will be hosted by the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) in 2028 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center — gathering global leaders to strengthen cooperation and address critical challenges in governance and public financial management.
The Garuda bird and the Mega Mendung batik motif — each carrying meaning that reflects the Congress's role and aspiration.
As the national symbol, the Garuda represents courage and strength. In this design, it is depicted soaring high, symbolizing INCOSAI's role in overseeing public financial management from a broad and comprehensive perspective.
Rich with meaning and traditionally associated with peace, the Mega Mendung motif reflects the ideal condition to be achieved: a harmonious and tranquil state of governance where oversight functions are carried out effectively.
BPK is an independent institution mandated by the Constitution to examine the management and accountability of state finances. To this day, BPK has 38 regional offices, conducting financial, performance, and special-purpose audits across all levels of government — ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance in support of sustainable development.
BPK has a long history of active involvement in INTOSAI. After attending the II INCOSAI in Belgium in 1956, BPK officially became a full member in 1968. Since then, BPK has actively engaged in various INTOSAI activities, including the Working Group on Accountability for and Audit of Disaster-related Aid, the Working Group on Environmental Audit, the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP), the Working Group on Big Data, the Working Group on IT Audit, and various IDI programmes.
