The announcement was delivered by BPK Chair, Dr. Isma Yatun, during the Second Plenary Session of the 25th INCOSAI in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday, 31 October 2025.
In her remarks, Dr. Isma stated that the 26th INCOSAI will carry forward the spirit of collaboration within the global audit community with renewed strength, boldness, and grandeur. “We look forward to welcoming you to Bali, Indonesia,” she declared.
Dr. Isma emphasized that Indonesia’s readiness extends beyond infrastructure and logistics, highlighting that it is built upon BPK’s institutional experience, technical competence, and longstanding engagement within the INTOSAI community since joining in 1968.
As the future host, BPK envisions the 26th INCOSAI as a transformative platform for knowledge exchange and collective learning. The congress in Bali will bring together the global audit community to discuss emerging developments, strengthen collaboration, and advance INTOSAI’s commitment to promoting public accountability and delivering value for citizens worldwide.
The 26th INCOSAI in Bali is expected to gather leaders and experts from more than 195 SAIs worldwide to renew commitments, share innovations, and shape the future of public auditing. Through this milestone, BPK reaffirms Indonesia’s unwavering commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance at the global level. Hosting the congress in Bali will not only strengthen collaboration among SAIs but also underscore Indonesia’s dedication to advancing the global audit community’s shared vision of fostering public trust and sustainable development.
The 25th INCOSAI in Sharm el-Sheikh also marked an important milestone for Indonesia, as BPK assumed the position of First Vice Chair of INTOSAI and its Governing Board for the 2025–2028 term. BPK’s membership in the Governing Board will continue until 2037, reflecting Indonesia’s growing leadership in shaping the international audit agenda. In this role, BPK will contribute to strengthening INTOSAI’s strategic framework, supporting capacity development initiatives, and fostering innovation in audit practices among member SAIs.
